NBA Betting – History Shows That Mavericks Could Soon Complete Comeback
June 6, 2011

The majority of
online sports betting fans were quick to jump on the Miami Heat to bring home an NBA championship after they took down the Dallas Mavericks in impressive fashion for game one of their best-of-seven finals. What they were quick to forget was how things can change from game to game, and that although they may have been caught off guard by the nerves and pressure that came with playing game one on hostile environment Dirk Nowitzki and his Mavericks’ team would bounce back in a hurry.
Nowitzki shook off an injured tendon in his left finger to score 24 points and grab 11 rebounds as Dallas rebounded from down 15 points in game two for the 95-93 win, and with the 2011 Belmont Stakes betting race there is still plenty of reason to think that they can get this series done. The All Star forward wasn’t alone in this one with Shawn Marion, Tyson Chandler, and Jason Terry all coming alive to hit double figures and steal that crucial road win, and that will lead to the momentum switching as they move forward. Dallas has been dynamite this postseason, and although they struggled in the opener they showed all of the signs of being able to handle a powerful Miami team in the second game. When these two franchises met in the 2006 NBA finals it was the Mavericks that took the first two games before Miami stormed back with four straight wins to clinch the series. Fast-forward five years later and we have to remember that despite losing the opener, Dallas is far from out of this one and they could take the NBA finals in their favor and earn a measure of revenge in six games.
NBA Betting – Heat Looking Like Championship Team That Most Expected

In taking an early series lead against the defending Eastern conference champions, the Miami Heat have looked more like the championship-caliber team that most expected when the online sports betting season got underway. Unlike in the regular season when they struggled against the Boston Celtics, the Heat looked dominant with a couple of wins to open the series and will look to carry over that momentum to close out the series. Which team Miami will play is wide open after the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks split the first two games of their best-of-seven series, although MVP Derrick Rose may have something to say about that as the series shifts to Georgia for games two and three.
The situation is similar in the Western conference, with the two-time defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers in an early hole against the Dallas Mavericks. The Lakers dropped the first two games of the series at home and looked lost for energy down the stretch in each of them, and now face an uphill climb to get back in the series. Meanwhile, the eighth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies have continued to surprise after they earned a split in the first two games of their best-of-seven series against the Oklahoma City Thunder to earn home court advantage the rest of the way. It won’t be easy for the Grizzlies against Kevin Durant and company, but they have managed to get the job done so far in advance of the 2011 Kentucky derby betting race.
Look for the Grizzlies to push the Thunder deep before conceding the series in six or seven games, while the Lakers show a little life to get the series to six games before the Mavericks eliminate them in the west. In the east, Miami will have their way with the Celtics in five games, while the Bulls will survive a battle with the Hawks to advance in seven games.
NBA Betting – Lakers Will Try To Cool Down The Heat In Potential Finals Matchup
April 23, 2011

Since the beginning of the NBA online sports betting season, prognosticators have made their projections about what would happen if the Miami Heat made it to the NBA finals for a potential clash with the Los Angeles Lakers. After all, the two-time defending NBA champions are viewed as the most legitimate shot to make it to the dance for a fourth consecutive year, while the Heat have been one of the most exciting teams to watch for obvious reasons. So what will happen if Miami and Los Angeles meet in the 2011 NBA Finals?
It wouldn’t be long before the Lakers clinched their third consecutive NBA title against a third straight different opponent. Los Angeles has used its size and strength under the basket to take down the Orlando Magic and Boston Celtics in consecutive finals’, and the Heat would actually be the team where that mismatch is the most obvious. With Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Lamar Odom, and Ron Artest banging inside, Miami would have no answer for Los Angeles in the paint. While Lebron James and Dwayne Wade would be able to make some noise if they got hot, the same can be said about Kobe Bryant after watching him put on some of the most clutch performances over the past few years. Heat forward Chris Bosh has not proven that he can bang inside against some of the toughest big men, and although it is too early to rule them out even before the Kentucky derby betting race is complete, it appears as though size would be the biggest difference in the Lakers clinching an NBA title over Miami in 2011.
NBA Championship Odds

Fans betting on March Madness have come to understand, that the stars of the famous annual tournament, can one day be the proud members of NBA Championship rings. Whether you play for Texas now and the Toronto Raptors later, chances are you will be holding a basketball betting online championship ring at some point. Here are the odds for the top two teams in the NBA.
1. Miami Heat six to one – A year after bowing out in the first round of the playoffs, the Miami Heat have the third highest odds of winning the NBA Title. Essentially to go from pretender to contender, the Heat convinced Lebron James and Chris Bosh to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors. While both of those teams, probably won’t compete for a title in the next decade, the Heat now made up of James, Bosh and Wade could be bringing championships to South Beach for that same decade.
All three of the South Beach trio, are players that most teams would simply build around. Similar to the Boston Celtics trio of Allen, Pierce and Garnett, back in 2007 – 2008, the Heat have an opportunity of going from a team that failed to get the job done, to an NBA title holder this season.
2. San Antonio Spurs five to one – In a year in which many critics felt that the Spurs were far too old and couldn’t keep up with the younger teams in the league, the Spurs trio made up of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli took the criticism to heart, and to date have the best overall record in the NBA.
Many of those same critics propose the idea that the Spurs will run out of gas come playoff time because of how old the big three are. However, consider that this has been the deepest Spurs team since the 2006 – 07 Championship team, and it seems highly unlikely that the Spurs will fail to make the finals.
Celtics Win Streak Hits Decade Mark

It is hard to believe that almost four years ago, the Boston Celtics were the laughing stock of the NBA betting world. Now in the four years since, the Celtics have turned into one of the league’s biggest powerhouse teams. Led by Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen, the Boston Celtics are once again on a 10 game betting online winning streak. But don’t tell them that, the team is said to be oblivious to their current season high winning streak.
The Boston Celtics have thrown together one of the most impressive 10 game winning streaks this season. While fellow NBA heavyweights such as the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, and San Antonio Spurs have all shared the spotlight in the early stages of the 2010-11 seasons, the Celtics have flown under the radar. Perhaps the most astounding thing about the Celtics current win streak is the fact that the majority of the team is injured.
That’s right, you read that correctly, the majority of the Boston Celtics are injured, yet they have still reeled off a 10 game win streak. The Celtics currently are using a fourth string rookie named Semih Erden at center, as Kendrick Perkins is still out with a knee injury suffered in last season’s playoffs, and Shaq and Jermaine O’Neal are both out with knee injuries as well.
As team leader Kevin Garnett, described a few days ago, the team has bought into Head Coach Doc Rivers system. They treat every team the same, they do not look past any opponent, and most importantly, they show up with the same level of intensity, whether they are playing the heavyweights of the league or the lightweights. During this 10 game winning streak, the Celtics have held their opponents to 86.1 points per game, while only averaging 100 points.
Early Season Success Or Are The Spurs For Real?

Going into the 2010-11 NBA betting online season, and all the hype was surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics and the new look Miami Heat. However, 23 games into the season and it is decade long sports wagering site powerhouse, the San Antonio Spurs living up to all of the other teams hype. At 20 wins and three losses, the San Antonio Spurs, make us consider the question, is this a team just taking advantage of early season woes of their opponents or are they this season’s NBA Champion?
The San Antonio Spurs record of 20 and three through the first 23 games of the season is considered to be the second best win loss record through the first quarter of NBA games in league history. Through the same 23 game margin, the 95-96 Chicago Bulls and 08-09 Boston Celtics tied for the NBA record with 21 and two overall records.
Thus far in the season, the 2010-11 Spurs are averaging a franchise best 106.9 points per game. Putting this into perspective, last season’s Spurs squad only averaged 101.9 points per game, which was among the middle of the pack in team offenses for the NBA.
In seasons past, the San Antonio Spurs have had to rely heavily on their big three of Manu Ginobli, Tony Parker, and Tim Duncan, however this season; the San Antonio secondary has been almost as amazing as their big three. Perhaps the biggest improvement thus far in 2010-11 has been the play of former New Jersey Net and Milwaukee Buck, Richard Jefferson. Jefferson, a player that has dominated on every team he’s been on in the past, struggled
mightily a season ago adapting to the Spurs playbook.
Yet a season later, and a small sample size in 23 games, Jefferson appears to be back to the old three point shooting monster from his Nets days. With Jefferson leading the charge for an improved secondary, the Spurs appear to be the favorite to win this season’s NBA Title.
Underperforming NBA Stars

With the NBA season roughly six weeks old, online betting experts are beginning to see which NBA stars are for real and which are underperforming. From the big three in Miami to the stars who are the only acts in their towns, sports wagering sites, are beginning to place proposition bets on the type of seasons these players will have. Here are two players that better shape up and quit underperforming before they cost us money.
- Chris Bosh F Miami Heat – The long time Toronto Raptor took his act to South Beach this offseason to join best friends Lebron James and Dwayne Wade. While Bosh believed that he would get the ball as often as his two buddies, the rest of us knew that in reality, Bosh would see his role reduced. To date, the Chris Bosh we are seeing in South Beach couldn’t be further from the Bosh we saw in Toronto for the last eight years.
Thus far in the 2010-11 season, Bosh is averaging career lows in points, rebounds and assists. Right now, there is speculation, that Bosh may even be traded from the Heat for fellow overrated player Carmelo Anthony. Bosh has appeared more as a complimentary piece to the Heat puzzle which can be easily replaced, instead of an integral piece moving forward.
- Baron Davis G LA Clippers – Ever since he signed with the other Los Angeles team Baron Davis has been a disappointment. During his tenure in Golden State, Davis was an integral part of the Warriors playoff movement. In what was likely supposed to be the plan in Los Angeles, Davis has proven to be a dud instead of a stud. Injuries have plagued Davis tenure in LA. But with recent news coming out that he stopped training during the offseason, many can agree that Baron Davis is the most underperforming NBA star in the league today.
King James Returns Home In Fashion

Last night was one of the busiest in the history of the online betting sites industry in terms of action for one basketball game. It was during the game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat that future hall of fame superstar Lebron James returned to Cleveland. King James former home was a hostile one and for fans that bet on the Cavaliers to pull the upset, they were surly disappointed.
In his return last night to Cleveland, Lebron James teased the Cavaliers fans. James poured in an astounding 38 points, eight rebounds and two assists, stats that the Cleveland faithful had come to love. What’s more, James led his new team the Miami Heat to one of the biggest blowouts in Cleveland since the beginning of the decade.
For seven years, Lebron James was leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to the playoffs. However, James along with his teammates could never get over the hump and win the NBA title. With seven years of winning basketball, James spoiled Cleveland. So when he left for South Beach in the summer, Lebron didn’t just leave, he took the fans hearts with them.
Rather than simply leaving and signing with his new team, James felt it was his duty to rip Cleveland’s hearts out. Call it an ego boost, but for James to go on national television for a one hour special, to announce his decision to leave Cleveland, was one of the dirtiest most hurtful actions one could do.
Meaning to say, Thursday December 2, 2010 blowout win of 118 – 80 by the Miami Heat over the Cleveland Cavaliers, could have been accepted if it was dealt with any other way. For James to blowout his former team would have been fine in itself. But after the summer antics between James and the Cavs, the typical James performance, just felt wrong.
Can Anyone Stop The Heat In 2010-11?

The 2010 NBA free agency period, when Free NBA Picks are allowed, was one of the most highly anticipated in online sports betting history, with some of the biggest names in the game available to the highest bidder on the open market. Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh were among the names available, and several teams went all out for their chance to attain one of the superstar prizes in hope that they would help turn their losing franchises around. In the end, the big three of James, Wade, and Bosh all signed with the Miami Heat, who used their more than $45 million to establish the foundation for a potential dynasty. Still, there are at least a couple of teams that can stop Miami from achieving their sports betting goal and all these information will be useful NBA betting tips for the new comers to this field of action.
The three biggest teams in the way of the Heat achieving their goals are the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic, and of course, the defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers. The Celtics kept their betting on sports core together in the offseason, retaining Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen on top of the emerging Rajon Rondo at the point. Boston also added some big men in both Jermaine and Shaq O’Neal, whose experience should help in their quest for a third finals’ appearance in four years. Two years removed from an NBA finals’ appearance, the Orlando Magic are hoping that consistency will be the key to them getting back to the big stage. Little has changed in California, where the Los Angeles Lakers are still the class of the league. The two-time defending NBA champions kept their 2010 championship team intact in the offseason, and will be the team to beat this year. The common theme with all three teams is at the five-spot, as all boast centers that rank among the best in the league. Signing three big names limited the Heat’s ability to add more of a supporting cast, and it isn’t a guarantee that their big three can get the job done on their own, especially if one goes down with an injury.
