Comparable to the college football betting season, the college basketball season takes a little bit of time to get rolling, as top teams face cupcake schools basically up until the inter-conference tournaments that kickoff in January and last until March Madness. However, what most NBA fans this season will be quick to discover, is that the first month of the season, does have some exciting games to check out. Here are a few that we recommend.
November 11 – Michigan State Spartans At North Carolina Tar Heels (-9.5) – To kickoff the 2011 – 12 bookie software season, the NCAA spoils its fans with a March Madness caliber matchup. The Spartans will be looking to show their fans and critics alike, that last seasons disappointing results, were a mirage of what the team is all about. In order to prove they can play with the best, State will have to show that playing with North Carolina is no big deal. That is easier said then done though, as UNC possesses one of the scariest starting rotations on the planet. If MSU can keep things close, let the doubt creep in on the Tar Heel bandwagon.
November 15 – Kansas Jayhawks At Kentucky Wildcats (-6.5) – On Tuesday, the Jayhawks and Wildcats renew hostilities this time with a whole new program. The Jayhawks will be without the Morris Twins and Josh Selby, but still have some impressive freshmen. On the contrary, Kentucky will not only have Doron Lamb and Terrence Jones back in the lineup, but also the introductions of Anthony Davis and Marquis Teague. Meaning to say, by all accounts, if Kentucky wants to make a statement early regarding National title hopes, a blowout win over Kansas will do the trick.
