NBA Betting – Little Chance That NBA Can Salvage A Season

A memo to the NBA sports betting enthusiast: Do not expect to be watching any professional basketball in North America this winter. With the NBA and its players failing to reach any common ground at their latest meetings on Tuesday in New York, the likelihood of the entire season being wiped out has skyrocketed, and an announcement to at least cancel the first two weeks of the regular season could be only the beginning of the decisions made Monday. Addressing the media after the talks stalled on Tuesday afternoon, NBA commissioner David Stern warned that he has cancelled the remainder of the preseason, and that if the players didn’t reach out to them by Monday the season could be cancelled.

At this pay per head point, Stern and his representatives were adamant that it was the players that had made the decision that there was no reason to continue talks at this point, and with no further meetings scheduled, the pessimism is finally beginning to sink in. While the owners have taken such a firm stance on several issues that the players clearly feel there is no reason to talk, the bottom line is that without anybody in the negotiation rooms there is almost no chance that there will be a season. The players have made it known that they are willing to sacrifice the year for the sake of the future players’ benefit, and while that may be a fact, it doesn’t help those that want to see the sportsbook promo game this November.
